Turzi - C
Jaga Jazzist - Starfire

That album is one of my personal RPI favourites, Sam! The instrumental stuff on the first side is great, even if there's a couple of themes you wish they'd developed a bit more! All the little bits and pieces run in all directions every few seconds! I think I prefer the vocal pieces on the second side even more, but there's not a bad bit of music on that disc. Another `one and done' RPI special!

Sam, did you get that Dialeto album as part of the Moonjune sale? I don't recall if that was one I recommended to you! I've got it myself, pretty damn decent, but I don't listen to it too much. It's been a little forgotten on my shelf!

Ishq – Bloom
Alpha Wave Movement – Celestial Chronicles
Autumn of Communion – 6 (Could this be one of the ambient/electronic releases of the year?!)
Seldon - Tutto A Memoria

Neal Morse – Sola Scriptura (there ya go, Nick! You know, `The Door’ is one of my absolute favourite Morse pieces, how amazing is that final section that begins with the piano and Mellotron bit then leads to the massive guitar solo?!

Oh a 29.37min masterpiece!! The Door is a beautiful piece of music. The drumming and Neal's soft vocals really sweeten the deal for me sonically. I can really get into that song, but my favourite is the 16min Conclusion track. What a chorus!! I sung that in the shower for weeks!
As for the grand experiment, I won't pass it up. I love ONE and SOLA. I'm due for another Morse purchase. :)

You MUST get it, it's even better than the first Big smile

Yesterday:
Astrolabio - L'Isolamento Dei Numero Pari (Great one Michael, I kept forgetting about this one Tongue It seems to have influences from every classic Prog band, including some occasional obvious references Smile The Nirvana cover was a bit weird LOL)
Dialeto - The Last Tribe

This morning:
Powerhouse - In An Ambient Way (I listened with ear phones at work, so I didn't hear any 3D Embarrassed)
Lou Donaldson - Blues Walk

I will!! Just gotta find a fair price for it. Here in Canada land they are trying to rip me off. 36$ for this one.

Pastmaster. I freakin love this album. It's in their top 3 for sure. It surpasses 10,000 fists for me and that is a big complement. Couldn't be happier. What an album!
Oh and that cover of 'the sound of silence' by Paul Simon is just unbelievable. Their best cover yet! ;)

I agree, the second side is better, but the ELP-like tracks on the first side are quite fun. I'm glad I gave this album a listen Smile

Yeah that sucks, shipping costs from Italy are quite expensive, even to Portugal Confused

Pretty sure if I remember that is a pretty decent album, Sam! There's one or two duds on there - `I Can See A Liar' is total throaway filler, and although the lyrics of `Little James' are pretty rubbish, it's quite a pleasant tune. But the album is worth it for `Gas Panic!' alone, I don't think they ever sounded so mature and dynamic.

Yesterday:

Blanck Mass - Dumb Flesh (I can't get enough of this!)
Four Tet - Morning / Evening (Ditto!)
Jonas Munk - Pan (Doubleditto!!!! Jonas Munk from Causa Sui's gone solo and electronic to boot! Yummy!)
Manual - Awash (Jonas Munk's (not so) ambient work. This one is an EP from 2011 and it is quite simply stunning.)
Pond - Corridors of Blissterday (Pond goes full space rock)
SBB - Karlstad (Best live prog ever!)

^^ It's the only one I have and heard from them, I bought the CD for a few cents some years ago Tongue I agree, it has some filler tracks and others are quite long. It's a nice album nevertheless and I was surprised by the amount of Mellotron Wink

Today so far:
Jonas Munk - Pan (Great one David! Did you notice the LA Woman reference on the first track? Tongue)

Oh yes. I thought it was pretty obvious tbh. Still love it though - fits in nicely with the scope and feel of the album.
I've seen some online reviews of it relegating it as a bit of a mess, albeit with some good ideas attached to it. I'm the other way around. I think the flow is so beautifully well balanced and organic sounding. Feels like an old Krautrock album though with a new soul.

I didn't meant it in a bad way, I thought it was very appropriate for the track.
It's beautifully messy, I'm thinking of one track that started with stoner-like guitars and gradually evolved into electronic. It's a dangerous combination and it could be easily messy, but he managed to pull it off Thumbs Up

He has a new one out called Absorb/Fabric/Cascade, but it looks as if it's only available as a downloadErmm

Btw remember that record label; El ParaisoWink
So much good psychedelic vinyl coming out of that joint. Causa Sui, Papir, Psicomagia, Brian Ellis, Jakob Skøtt and some new outfit that I know will be amasing just by the name: Shiggajon!LOL
