Yup, been visiting my old friend Jethro again the past few weeks, and it's been nice. Yeah, I've seen you playing a lot of Black Sabbath lately Thumbs Up, a band I wish I was more familiar with. Played all six of my BS albums I while back. Had it been their first six albums, that would've made for a nice little marathon, but I don't have their first three, instead my collection includes Live Evil and Never Say Die (which I both like to some degree), but also Seventh StarDead</span>

Omg my friend. You gotta get Black Sabbath's first 3!! It's that of their best! Master of Reality
Is my all time fav. You'll love it!! I think you'll really appreciate Iommi's 1min 38s instrumental called "Orchid.'
It's really quite beautiful and is a nice prelude to the next track "The Lord of this world' !
It's their only ' I'm pro satan lyric song. It's gold. :)

Also, you don't need to win the lottery to have decent sound!
Go the 'headphone way.' Very economical for top notch sound that won't cost you 50 billion dollars. Lol. :)

Anyway. Keep spinning that Tull. I did ' Aqualung' this weekend. ;)
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Hi Audun
I see you've had your first spin of Stadsvandringar. What did you make of it?
I know it's a pretty straightforward affair, especially to a prog fan, but I still love it.
Yeah, gave it its first spin yesterday. I enjoyed it, but I felt it wasn't completely up to par with the rest of their output. A bit simpler and, as you said, straightforward than the rest, but by all means not bad. Don't think they're capable of making a bad album. I've got them all now (Stadsvandringar was the last I was missing), and there's not one of their albums I don't like. Great band!

Not sure I agree with you about their last one being their best though. It's good, I'll give you that, but for me it's about fifth, I think, after Tio bitar, the debut, Ta det lungt and 4. I've given that one, too, just one listen so far though, so, as is the case with Stadsvandringar, it might still grow on me.

Well I go waay back with Stadsvandringar, so that may have something to do with it. Cool you now have all the Dungen albums though - me too! Not a bummer in sight......and yes I may have come on a little strong earlier on, when I said it was their best album to date....but it's damn close. My faves prior to it were 4 and Tio Bitar, but I rather like the more progressive in-put and rawer psychedelia of the new one. Who cares anyway? Doesn't need to be a 'number one' (as much as we prog fans tend to categorize everything from music to mayo).

Oh and btw have you seen the video for Franks Kaktus?LOL

Gotta love the Swedes (and their style).

It's very good Samuel. Definitely up to par with their 70s output maybe bar Cottonwood Hill and Egyptian KingsWink
Space rock at it's core with electronic dashes here and there, but the best thing about it is that it takes it's time....and not in the meandering 2 riff bong smoke kind of way but more in that it breathes air into the pieces - almost like a post rock built-up if you know what I mean.

I love that Led Zeppelin album too, but it's not as good as Physical GraffitiTongue

I see you've been spinning that Zanov album lately. I've noted him down on my 'to get' list, so I won't forget. I forget just about everything these days and my mental butler is in Finland.

PG is a mixed bag for me. I wrote a review a couple of years ago, although my English was much worse then LOL

I still have to listen to it some more, I feel it will be even better. You'll have to get a new butler Tongue

Every track from Houses is unique, but I like them all, unlike side 4 of PG that really bores me. It's an unhappy ending Confused

Hey that's my favourite Smashing Pumpkins album SagiClap
I saw them on the subsequent tour and they were absolutely phenomenal. Played the Adore album in it's entirety + a few tunes off of Melancholy... only they were revamped and sounded far more different and rumbling than what they used to. Especially Bullet With Butterfly Wings. Man that one was awesome! The only problem though was that I seemed to be the only one digging the gig as most others there were complaining about not hearing more of the old, and when they did it didn't sound like the recordsDead To this I must add that it was a gig in Tivoli (an ooooold theme park in the heart of Copenhagen) and furthermore a cheap one. I paid something like 5 bucks to get in (the beers were outrageously expensive, so yeah potato potato). I imagine the crowd being folks that knew Zero or Bullet w... and who just happened to be in the vicinity of Tivoli that day. Not necessarily SP biggest fans.

The band didn't care though and played their hearts outBig smile
