Any better luck with this particular modern RPI albums, Dave?

Personally I can't stop listening to it, had it booming in the car on the way to work today, much to the `what the f**k is that?!' reaction from next-door cars!

Oh yes. I am really digging this! Again, and call me a broken record if you like, I believe it's down to production. Most of these bands can play like the wind, but it's very seldom the feel and warmth gets through imo. On here the plastic synths are traded in for real sounding entities as that gorgeous violin - and those organs man, yummyBig smile
I need to spend a little more time with it, but I'm getting there.

All good, man, at least I don't have to lay a patented `Super Down Under Roo Boot Kick' on you!

The violins are searing, and man oh man the vocals are absolutely superb too!

Heh, and I'm listening to it right now again!

Well I think we can all relax now that you didn't have toLOL I'm a big bugger and would most likely go into my Red Fly Agaric Frenzied Low Brow Viking Beat Down-modeTongue

Ha, challenge accepted! Do NOT make my grow the Steven Seagal hair again!

Oh, would that I could lol!

Oh that pony tail is legendary. Haha!

Hey! Alright man! Testing the new speakers in the new car bud? Love it. You deserve it.

Actually it was a final blowout for my old car lol! I pick up the new one on Saturday, so with Friday off last night was the final trip into work in the Nissan Voldemort!

Honestly I'm just grateful it didn't catch on fire or fall apart! Thank you Jeebus! I kept thinking `Just one more trip, just one more trip' lol! But, yes, I was determined to give the speakers one final `trial by fire' as well!

Oh, and you should seriously check that album out, I think someone mention it's up on the Progstreaming website, so give it a spin!

As for your mention of Magenta's `Seven', I'm pretty sure there was a reissue a couple of years back, maybe with a bonus `Instrumental version' disc? Have you tried Greg Walker's Syn-phonic Records? That's where I get my proggies from, super fast and affordable shipping too!

Hey Nic! Love the new avatar. Makes me want to keep my beard actuallyLOL Looks pretty much like yours at the moment, only curly and brown... Oh and are you sure you're not named Marco? You look almost exactly like one of my old friends, it's uncanny! Although he is more of a punk musically though, he's spread out to zany music through jazz, but I gather it's not exactly the kind of stuff you've posted hereLOL

BTW Loooove the Cynic albumCool

I did it to honor my one year with PA. Sometimes it's nice to put a face with a name considering I've talked with a lot of nice people here, but I had to change the avatar to a more worldly look. Lol everytime I open my profile I really don't want to stare at my crazy-bearded Mug. Lol! Oh and keep the beard alive Dave! Bet you look like a Danish prince.
Also, it's funny you say I look like your friend cause people always tell me I'm a dead ringer of so many different people...I guess i can never look like me. :)

Anyway. Cynic is amazing and I think that they are a really important prog metal/experimental band. I want to write a rave review for this one some day. Later beard brother. :)

Not yet. I heard its got some pretty crafty remixes. I think Lasers Edge has it for a decent price.
