I'm loving the whole thing.  I've been listening to it constantly the last couple of days.  It's a massive work and there's a lot to take in...so far I hear lots of influences...musically with Devil Doll, early My Dying Bride, and a little known 90's band called Golgotha...lyrically with Rozz Williams (Christian Death), Bowie (when he sings in a low register), a little Peter Steele (Type O Negative), and some Paul Kuhr (November's Doom).  Very emotional music in a heavy symphonic style with those great baritone vocals.  Thanks so much for the recommendation Nick!

^ so nice to hear your getting so much out of it like I have Mr. King. Makes me very happy to hear that. The Saviour Machine is one of those bands that massively flies in a no radar zone. A lot of people don't know about these guys and I consider them one of my all time greatest discoveries. Also, wait till you hear the rest and I know it's dense lyrically but I'm sure you and I will be discussing that further down the road. ;)

Anyhow. My albums today...

Artesia--Helvern
Oneohtrix Point Never--Riffs
The Eurythmics-- Live 1983-1989 ( both discs)
Maurizio Guarini--Creatures from A Drawer
Devin Townsend--Biomech

Hey Gabe, you listened to them! Was that the first time they'd been let out of that box set?!

I can assure you those Kansas ones get a chance to breathe more than that Tull boxset I have!
