Brilliant. I've always had a difficult time chosing what album I enjoy more being either STILL LIFE or BLACKWATER PARK. it's tough. The Watershed is pretty good as well, but not among their best I think.
Anyway. Nice day, Audun.

I'd highly recommend the live album "Live and Let Live".  It has fantastic live versions of the best songs from "Fact and Fiction"  Wink

Yes! I wanna get that one in the 'definitive edition' and ' Live at the Target.' definitely at the top of my purchase list right now along with Crimso's Starless and Bible Black (digital remaster by Wilson.)

Oh beautiful combination. Sinner!!!
Yeah. I'm well overdue to pick that one up, but I am glad I am cause the Wilson remaster is fairly new. I really like what he is doing with the crimso albums. ITCOTCK sounds incredible in 5.1. Great separation between speaker channels. Mr. Wilson. Well done!!

My my. It is an exceptional, deeply emotional album. I really recommend getting the 2013 remix edition. Read Richard H's review. He does a great job in summing up how great it is. :)

I'd love to get that, all I've got is my pretty average rip I made of my old vinyl copy for my Ipod. Perfectly listenable, but I've heard very good things about that re-release!

The absolute perfect album to put me in a rotten miserable mood. Regardless, "The Apostasy Canticle" is one hell of a killer doomy song.

Michael. It's so much better. Even the Mellotron is warmer on the intro for The Last Human Gateway.
The original release is marred and hampered with so much poor audio quality production. It must my friend and it comes with a second disc that is full of incredible extras including some pretty cool mp3 files. Comes in a classy hardcover case as well with about 40 pages of liner notes. Yeah baby!!!

Or how about the Doomy 15min epic DEATH, COME NEAR ME. The title alone is a wrist slasher! beautiful, haunting compositions though on the entire album actually. Reminds me of My Dying Brides 'THE ANGEL AND THE DARK RIVER.' classic doom.

Yeah, "Death, Come Near Me" is one dreary anthem, albeit with some nice female vocal harmonies at its onset. As far as that My Dying Bride album, I'm actually one of those types that generally prefers their early death metal releases, particularly the EPs, although I will say that "The Cry of Mankind" is one of their finest and most morose achievements.

I just love the combination of string intruments combined with a Doomy atmosphere of sound. My Dying Bride are Masters of this, which is mainly why 'Turn Loose The Swans' and 'The Angel and The Dark River' get full marks from me.
2 masterpieces easily. :)
