^I thought there was just only one Simple Minds album with that beautiful song Glittering Prize - I mean New Gold Dream (81, 82, 83, 84).

Such a weak album from a once inspiring prog band. I really wish these guys would just hang it up already. Their glory days are way behind them.

^I still didn't listen to that album, but could indeed a band like Yes issue an album that weak? I commonly see here people giving their opinions as if they were absolutely right, when it's just a plain matter of rather different tastes , preferences etc.  Go figure that.

Of course it's all a matter of opinion. I'm sure some people will enjoy this album, but I didn't find one redeeming quality about Heaven & Earth. Nobody is right or wrong when it comes to music. It's all a matter of what moves you and this album just felt too slick and cookie-cutter to me. My favorite part of the album was when it ended. Big smile Anyway, to each their own.

That must have been an awesome night Smile
What do you think about Live Miles and Thief? I've never listened to those and they seem to have a low rating here Ermm

Today:
Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure
Soft Machine - Third
Il Volo - s/t
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew (there's been too much references to this album lately, I had to try it. Great album but a bit lenghty. The same goes to Third)
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
Il Volo - Essere O Non Essere

So far today:

Genesis: A Trick of the Tail (original 1990 Atco release which sounds great of course but this album always sounded good anyway)

Genesis: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (original 1990 Atco release - don't know if I prefer this original mix or the more recent remix which gave this album some edginess that seems suitable for the music)

Led Zeppelin: IV (from The Complete Studio Recordings box set released in '93 I believe - I'm still on the fence with the recent batches of 'Deluxe Remasters' that have hit the market, what does everyone think of these?)

The Police: Synchronicity (2003 remaster)
