Never heard that Mythos album, the only things I listened from them were snippets from "Grand Prix" LOL

Today so far:
Calibro 35 - Traditori di Tutti
Tohpati Bertiga - Riot
Banda do Casaco - No Jardim da Celeste (Speaking about annoyingly repetitive choruses, this one has the stupidest ever: "there's no ass that doesn't fart" repeated ad nauseam. This album is a stain on a great discography, what the hell were they thinking Dead)

Here's that Mythos track, Sam. I should point out that Mythos WERE a rather excellent band with some wonderful early releases, like the self-titled debut this piece is taken from. The narration at the end (after about the four and a half minute mark) is cheesy, but I do think the sentiment was genuine

Speaking of farts (urgh!), Leap Day unfortunately based much of their second track from their most recent album around the following repeated lyric - "All we've ever known, all we've ever understood is nothing but a fart in a windstorm..."....all sung with great seriousness as well! Surely something like "a breeze in a windstorm" would have been a bit classier?!

Great track, the story reminded me of Hibernal's latest album... well, the beginning at least before all the twists Big smile Have you heard it? It also reminded me of "I'll meet you at the edge of time" Wink

I never heard that word spoken so seriously LOL

This one was particularly disappointing since their lyrics are usually really great, quite difficult to understand many times even for a native speaker.

Also yesterday:
Arena - Contagion Max
Esfera - All The Colours of Madness (I can't stop spinning this Big smile)
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Sequentia Legenda - Blue Dream

What did you think of it, Sam? Along with my second listen today, Ulver's latest, it's my favourite of the year so far. Have you heard anything else from PP? Check out Koralrevens klagesang if you haven't. Their most Canterbury (with guest appearance from Richard Sinclair, how can it not be? Wink) album, and their best of the ones I've heard (not Farlig vandring or earlier releases).

A few weeks back I ordered an inexpensive CD copy off Ebay from the same remastered set as the other Rush discs I have, I've given it a stack of spins. My problem is that it is exactly like `Permanent Waves', so for me that means sh*t-hot playing but completely unengaging tunes. I must have listened to it about ten times by this point and still can't remember a single melody or tune on the album. Sigh...clearly it's the more streamlined version of the band that begins with `Grace Under Pressure' that I respond to best. I've heard `Power Windows' on Youtube and I much preferred that, so clearly that `G.U.P'-era onwards is the one I can stand the most.
