1st place (both title sensuality/pervertedness and actual music): Caravan

Perhaps ironically, their album In the Land of Grey and Pink would also win both for me compared with anything on this list.

Last place (both title and music): Hammill....yikes.

Also, I don't have any losing-virginity stories, but the first time I made out with my future wife, I put my playlist on random (starting with Journey for the lady, of course). She was still there through Jacob's Ladder, and the shuffle chose nicely by ending on June.
Thank you, God of Rock, for this chance to kick ass

Really? Can I get her number?

Sorry, I've been married these several years, to a guy who doesn't much care for prog.

(I love these "chicks and prog" threads, they make me laugh)

To be honest, I wouldn't vote for any of these albums (especially Zappa and Hammil, good albums though). To be honest, I would really throw on some Moody Blues with Days of Future Passed. Quality stuff, girls really enjoy Nights in White Satin and Dawn is a Feeling.
I consider drone metal to be progressive...

"Chicks" aside, last Halloween we figured out that Storm Corrosion is creepy enough for scaring some unprepared trick-or-treaters.

LOL! A couple years ago some neighbours were blasting Echoes as their Halloween soundtrack.  That works too, on a dark and windy night.

It works too well, if you ask me.

When I was a kid, my sister and I would turn the house into a Haunted House, and I made a tape that just looped the spooky middle part of Echoes to use as our soundtrack.

Lately for Halloween, I've played Danzig's "Black Aria", Current 93's "Nature Unveiled", and The Swans' "The Seer".

I like to bust out some MDK or UZ - Heresie when I'm on a date.  That usually gets the babes all hotted up at my dorkdom.  When I'm really feeling that Casanova mood come over me, I like to slip on some Merzbow for that special lady.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I had gfs who loved prog. That had nothing to do with how we got along. My wife doesn't like my music, and everything's hunky dory (knock on wood). (Although to be fair, she pretended to love my music for the first couple of years, Wink)

I gotta say, this is a toughie. The albums that my girlfriend and I listened to the night we met were Starless and Bible Black and Red, then I gave her copies of Red and Inner Mounting Flame (the latter she's heard most often and really likes), she likes Yes, and my favorite album on this list is The Silent Corner, but she wasn't too keen on Hammill's voice when I gave her a copy of Godbluff, so I literally have no idea how to vote. Wacko
