Yeah! Nothing more fun to see those big bad Bruins take a beating like that. It's about time that Kessel put one in the net against the Bruins.

^ I like the Isles, they're who I'll be rooting for as long as they don't end up in the finals against the Sharks.

There is no reason the Penguins should still think that Fleury can be a starting goalie at the NHL level.  Been saying this basically his entire career: he is undersized, cannot play the puck, is often out of position, and let's in a ton of extremely soft goals inbetween the highlight reel saves that get all the attention.  He was a one year playoff wonder (we've seen a ton of those before).  There is no excuse on earth for losing a game when you score 4 goals and only give up 24 shots to the opponent.

the montreal canadiens have been robbed by the senators and the referee or the guys in toronto that decided that the first ottawa goal was good.

^ A big joke. I'll keep to myself what i'm thinking about last night's game, let's just say that at 1-1 the goal would have been refused.

Yeah, I agree.  But, as a Habs fan myself, I have to admit that it doesn't help when your team does not score and your goalie does not stop pucks. Price's average this year does not even place him amidst the top 30 goalies. I am one of those who sincerely thinks Price is way overrated. He was given the #1 slot, he never deserved it.

Wow indeed !  Guess the Sharks are fed up with being the NHL's eternal deception in the playoffs !

^No cups, but I would argue that the futility awards belong to the likes of Buffalo, Ottawa, Vancouver, Phoenix(Jets) and St. Louis. Look at the near all-star teams that the Blues and Sens fielded in the late 90's early 2000's without so much as a finals appearance. And playoff futility in relation to regular season success is a virtual given. President's Trophy winners have only won 25% of cups since its inception and only 10 total made the finals in 27 seasons and only once was the trophy won by the Sharks. That's a lot of choking. The fact is 29 teams don't win the cup and 15 playoff teams don't win the cup. So all the prognostication done by hockey analysts amounts to nothing more than guesswork. How many picked the Kings last year? Unless you make a sexy pick like the Wings every year, you aren't likely to be correct. Hype is hype.

A very hot and consistent goaltender is the key to the Cup usually :

Year              Goalie (Team)                     W-L      GAA      SV%

2005-06      Cam Ward (CAR)                15-8      2.14      .920
2006-07      J.S. Giguere (ANA)              13-4      1.97      .922
2007-08      Chris Osgood (DET)          14-4      1.55      .930
2008-09      Marc-Andre Fleury               16-8      2.61      .908
2009-10      Antti Niemi (CHI)                 16-6      2.63      .910
2010-11      Tim Thomas (BOS)            16-9      1.98      .940
2011-12      Jonathan Quick (LAL)         16-4      1.41      .946

I think the organisation is definitely on the right path and it's a good thing to have Price in front of the net imo. The guy's only 25 (still young for a netminder) and constantly learning, he have the talent to lead this team to the finals eventually.
That was one hell of a regular season (even with the terrible ending) and the biggest challenge of the year now awaits them. They'll win the fifth game!

I now officially hate this team.
