I've had a lot of time to read because our daughter had our first grandchild recently and I sat in various hospital waiting rooms for a week and had my Kindle on hand.I plowed through a ton of my backlog.

A literary mash-up similar to Seth Grahame-Smith's books, about the Oliver Twist character Jack Dawkins(The Artful Dodger),who later in life becomes a vampire slayer and zombie hunter, among other things.

They are pretty good. Although they're not as well developed as the HP series (so far), she can still write interesting plots and characters, and it's interesting to see her write for an explicitly adult audience. Both books have been hard to put down when the story really gets going, so I'd recommend them if you like her previous work. And I finished this last night: Edited by A Person - August 23 2014 at 12:57 |

Finally began this one, supposedly a masterpiece and heralded by everyone who's read it.
40 some pages in, and so far this all seems accurate Regret waiting so long to get to this one. |

I read a wonderful book lately. It is very short but lately I just can't seem to put it down...
I'll admit the plot's pretty thin but I feel such connection with everything in it as though wishing I were right there amongst it all. I knew I would adore it from the moment I read the title... 'Khan's Tandoori Takeaway and Deliveries'
