Cedric cites a falling out with Omar as a reason for his departure, and claims the band will no longer continue.

This sucks.  I never got to see them.

It's kinda sad that Cedric had to take those jabs at Omar over twitter though.

Don't mean to sh*t on the parade but probably for the best. Would be good to see them do other things in other contexts.

I thought they just overreacted. But it looks like it's freaking official.

I kind of expected this. I feel awful because this is more bad news regarding the ATDI reunion, and I care more about that than the TMV breakup, even though TMV is pure excellence.
I consider drone metal to be progressive...

Here's my unpopular opinion: it was 10 years too late. (Should have happened directly after De-Loused to cut off the slew of inferior albums).

Ok. It's good if they call it off before making any bad albums. Noctourniquet was a bit of a let down, but still nice. Luckily I got to see them live once, they were mainly premiering the Noctourniquet stuff way before the album came out. Some of the studio versions were quite lame after hearing them extended live.

I love TMV, but i didnt expect more from them, they did the impossible on The Bedlam, the Perfect on De-Loused,
and also pretty damn good on Frances.  The other albums was good but nothing compared to those highlights.

Now they move on, we can just hope for something as great as the Best TMV or ATDI albums.
Prog is whatevey you want it to be. So dont diss other peoples prog, and they wont diss yours
