Must be epic as hell to fly a bike down that one.
Agreed, fantastic old-school circuit, must be pretty scary. Qualifying practices will start in a short while Smile

I just love the layout, one of the best and the corkscrew is epic.
Also on racing video games I would win that track always, hands downLOL

Sad news about Antonelli, from what I gather the race shouldn't have started as it was just raining far too hard.

Finally F1 is back.
Good ol Hungary.
I never really was a huge fan of the track (nor did I dislike it).

Hm, shall I be bold and predict a Hamilton win??
lol j/k it'll be Vettel obviously.

Well Hami on pole!
I know it's silly but he's had a good history there and he's been in the hunt for some wins but sh*t just keeps happening.
I'm not a betting man but I'd put $$ on Hami, I feel it in my bones.

Great result for Grosjean and Ricciardo.

Lewis did a fantastic lap but overall I think that Vettel seems to have better pace.
Not a fan on this circuit either.

Excellent lap from Lewis, nicked it from Vettel, who looked a dead cert for pole, right at the death. Grosjean in 3rd could be a real threat for the race tomorrow.

I missed Q1, what happened to Di Resta to end up 18th?

Sadly I fell back asleep after the alarm and woke up just after all quali ended...
I just can't wake up on Saturdays, and I may have drank too much last night

Yeah merc owns qualifying but aren't quite up to snuff on race pace, though often quite close.
Hami has had a better year overall, but it is intriguing that Nico has both wins this year, and all the wins for Mercedes!

Looks like I spoke too soon about Grosjean, the floor of his car failed the deflection test so he'll likely be sent to the back of the grid.

Grosjean avoided penalty, the floor had failed because one of its stays had been broken driving over a kerb.

Hamilton and Mercedes executed that race flawlessly today!  And somehow, both McLarens finished in the points.  That's a pretty rare sight these days. LOL

Alonso was the big loser today. Great race by Webber too. Poor Kimi, no way to win, for once he beats Vettel, Hamilton has the perfect day

Gorsjean gets a 20s penalty for his collision with Button but was more than 20s ahead of him at the finish so stays 6th, didn't agree with his drive through though as he was already ahead of Massa so didn't gain an advantage. Apparently even Massa has come come out in his defense on this one.

Excellent drive by Lewis, Vettel would have made more of a fight of it if hadn't damaged his front wing on Button with a never-in-a-million-years attempt to pass.

Ryan Newman won the Brickyard 400 today, which should help him out tremendously when it comes to securing a ride for next year.

Congrats to Hami. Hopefully I'll remember to catch the replay later.

And woo Newman! I do wish he was staying over getting ousted for Harvick but what can you do. I suspect a move to RCR will probably happen, which isn't really going to help, at least atm.

You would think, (hope!) McLaren would improve a bit as the season goes on.
As a big team, I wouldn't expect them to quit, at least at this point, and would keep working to get some type of improvement.
Is a surprise how far they fell this year, did Hamilton contribute that much? Or is this the old, inconsistent McLaren rearing its ugly head again?

Wow Newman, glad to hear that guy is still around. I really liked him back in the day. Esp that '03 season with all the poles and fuel mileage gamble wins. Thought he was a real quick driver, and cool that he had a college degree.
But he never did really pan out like I expected.
