It's been confirmed, Kimi back to Ferrari, the team that payed him not to race in 2010!

Ha, well Kimi never was the most dedicated person, which given his skill upset me greatly since it seemed a waste, but he seems to have a new mentality and much improved consistency. Assuming Ferrari stays strong (which is not gurantee these days!) should be great.

Will be awesome to have my two favorite drivers on Ferrari

I think there's no dobt about it, Ferrari will hav ethe strongest line up next year.

It looks like Massa's only option to stay in the sport next year is with his old team Sauber. Hulk is favourite to take Kimi's place at Lotus and with Sergei Sirotkin taking the second seat they'll need an experienced driver.

No doubt. I'm excited!

Poor Massa but hey, he had his time in the sun and can't say he wasn't a threat for a title...that final turn!
Would be great if that happened, Hulk is deserving. Many of the young guns are of course but he's been impressive for sure.

Yeah. To me the most surprising thing was how obvious they made it with the 55 communications. The 15's I could see the argument for just being odd/strange/coded message....but they were just so blunt with it on the 55 that Nascar had a very easy decision.

Idk why but I still like all the people involved. I know a lot of the talking heads say there will be popularity blacklash, and I'm sure there will be, but I still like Bowyer/Truex/Vickers. It is kinda strange how the 15 got off essentially scotfree.

I like it. That is going to be difficult to manage both FA and Kimi on one team, but it sure will be interesting to watch.

And if Hulky gets the lotus seat, that's double excitement on my part.

Aaannnddd NASCAR added Jeff Gordon to the Chase field today.  I'm happy that he has a shot at the title, but I don't know that I like their decision to add him for integrity's sake.  Just seems like a circus anymore.  Oh well, time to get back to racing this weekend. :)

Since I havn't watched, can you explain, what do you mean added? Was Jeff Gordon out and they just put him in the chase?

If so, it further proves why I've lost my taste for nascar, the "sport" is a joke, sadly. I know I know, all sports are businesses but over the year nascar legit lost its way. Exciting as it is, the chase itself is kind of a cop out (the driver with the most points over the course of the entire year should win, if it's by 400 he earned it) and they later upped it from 10 to 12, I believe pretty much to make sure Dale Jr, and whatever other popular driver may benefit, get in.

And with all the classic races/tracks being slowly replaced by the cookie cutters, eh...it still is what it is, and there is appeal to NASCAR style racing the sport itself has become a bit of a joke I'm afraid, not taking away from the drivers themselves

Well this is surprising, Montoya has just joined Penske for Indycar next year in their third car. I know when it was announced he'd lost the drive in the 42 car at Ganassi there was talk of him jumping back to single seaters but I didn't expect it to happen.

Montoya vs Franchiti next year, lets recreate '99!Big smile

I'm actually happy to see Montoya back in IndyCars.  I loved him in NASCAR, but now he's back in a competitive ride.

Gordon originally missed the Chase by 1 point, but after the MWR debacle and then further investigations with the 22 and 38 possibly striking a deal to help Logano, they decided that Gordon was at a severe disadvantage.  And trust me, I love Jeff Gordon, but I don't really agree with the decision to add him.  I'm happy he's in, but not how he got there.

Qualy for Singapore today. If nothing goes wrong Vettel's probably got an easy win, Webber's the only one that can match him and that's only on the medium tyres. Raikkonen has back problems from muscle spasms so I wont expect him to be that strong but Grosjean seems to be stepping up.

My prediction of Alonso win is ruined again by Vettel who keeps rolling on to his next easy title

Well, that was an easy one for Vettel, I don't think I've ever seen him put on such a dominant display.

Webber has a 10 place grid penalty for the next one, apparently he walked out onto the track on the slow down lap to catch a ride on Alonso's car, didn't see it so I don't know the details but Hamilton is saying he and Rosberg had to swerve hard to avoid the sudenly slowing Ferrari.
