I liked the Korea race.

But yes...what a wreck, and what terrible points day for Helio. One to go...probably Dixon's at this point.

Yeah, with the way Helio's seemingly been limping along with the point lead, I don't see a turnaround with one race to go.

I've been at Summers End over the weekend, looks like I missed a lot of action in IndyCar.

That was an excellent race in Korea, Vettel had it easily won though it was nice to see that his advantage was only 0.2s per lap instead of 2s like in Singapore, the battling behind between just about everybody was excellent.

Tagliani will be in for Dario at Fontana. Didn't get much mention but Ganassi have signed Kanaan for their 4th car for next year. I'm surprised non of the top teams have taken Justin Wilson on, I mean he's 4th in the points for Dale bloody Coyne, how does that work?!

Justin Wilson is the most underrated driver in Indycar, for sure.  The guy is so fast in, at most, average equipment.

And yes, I'm jacked for Kanaan.  Finally, he's with a top team again.

Just heard that Maria de Villota, the Marussia test driver that lost an eye in an horrific accident in a test early last year, was found dead this morning. The police are saying natural causes at the moment but will wait for an autopsy report before determining cause of death. Since her accident she'd joined the FIA's comission for women drivers and had a book due out on Monday.

RIP Maria.

He'll have a vintage Mark Webber start and drop to about 5th by turn 1. LOL

Chase race number 5 is about to get under way in Charlotte with Jeff Gordon leading the field to the green!

And of course he gets passed going into one.

Only lost one place though...so it's an improvement!

Gordon's running strong, but Kenseth and Johnson keep notching top 5's.  Feels like a 2 man race, now, although Talladega is this weekend and that could shake things up.

And then I read this morning that Brian Vickers is out for the remainder of the season because more blood clots were found in his leg and he's on blood thinner medication.  It really sucks, but everyone seems to think that he'll be back in time for the start of the 2014 season.  If this keeps happening, he's going to have to retire early. Unhappy

Yes, just read that Vickers news...what terrible luck. Hopefullly he'll be able to pull out a full season with MWR...he deserves the break and has the talent to succeed.

Dang, every year I say I'll watch Indycar and I was doing better this time to boot!

Yikes, Helio WTF man. IDK what happened, maybe it was not his doing(?) but how did he let it slip??
I was saying it's his title to lose but did he actually have to go and lose it? I really was pulling for him this year.

If my maths are correct, Helio has to finish 4th. Regardless of Scott, if he fails to do that it's over.
Likewise, if Dixon finishes 7th, regardless of Helio, the title is his.
So there is wiggle room but not much, Helio better just try to win at all costs.

Looks like a whacky year. RHR really faltered. Marco has been quite solid but very unspectacular. Same for Helio of course, until it went wrong in Houston and Justin Wilson has broke into the top 5. Crazy stuff

Dixon needs top 5 to seal the title, and on current form you wouldn't bet against it. Helio had 2 gearbox failures in the two Huston races, massively bad luck that they put down to the bumpy track.

Kubica's on the verge of winning the WRC2 title this weekend, he finishes 1st or 2nd and the title's his and would be his first since the 2005 World Series by Renault (now Formula Renault 3.5) championship. He'll also be entering Rally GB with a works run Citreon DS3 WRC and everybody wants him to drive for them next year.

Wow that is some truly crap luck, but guess one could say he has just one win also. If he got just one, deff two, more in there he'd be much safer. That's the sport though.

Great news for Kubica but does that mean his future with F1 is pretty much over?

As far as I know he hasn't made a decision about what he's doing for next year, though Citreon have offered him a few one-off races in their new World Touring Car Championship team next year if he signs with them. At the moment his biggest problem is mobility in the right arm, he reckons he can drive all the tracks fine except the really tight ones like Monaco and Singapore and who knows how long it will take for that arm to heal enough, if ever.
