PERHAPS is a band from Boston, Massachusetts. Their critically acclaimed debut album, Volume One was released in late 2012 and the band has toured the U.S extensively in support of it. Combining elements of progressive rock, jazz and classical music, the group focuses on intricate instrumental compositions juxtaposed against extended free improvisation. The core trio of bass, drums and guitar is sporadically augmented by various brass, woodwind and orchestral string instruments. PERHAPS is currently in negotiation to release a deluxe vinyl edition of Volume One through the pioneering Norwegian record label Origo Sound. The group has been invited to perform with legendary vocalist Damo Suzuki of Can. PERHAPS also has been asked to perform as support for Japanese cult favorites Acid Mothers Temple. PERHAPS will continue to tour through all of 2013. Their debut album is currently available for download via their official website www.perhapslive.com

Here's what some reviewers are saying about PERHAPS debut album, Volume One:

"Mind-blowingly awesome."
-The Math Rock Blog

" PERHAPS is the name of a new standard for the math-rock language. A musical journey designed to show PERHAPS as a very relevant artistic force in the current experimental rock scene in the USA."
-Cesar Inca

"A demonstration in the possibilities of prog rock."
-Dan Goldin

"This is shattering music, some of the best post-rock I have ever heard. For anyone who looks to the past and says 'they don't make music like that anymore,' I would point them to PERHAPS' debut album, because this should convince them that 'music like that' is still being made and hopefully will be for a very long time."
-Darryl Weppler

"The Bostonian trio known as PERHAPS is definitely one of the more interesting new acts I've had the pleasure of listening to recently. Their music is definitely something that should be experienced by fans of complex and jam-oriented experimental rock music."
-Jeff Barlow
www.seaoftranquility.org

"With one of the most acclaimed and momentous Math Rock albums to be released this year, PERHAPS have created a dense and complex first impression. "Volume One" is a wild ride with a bouquet of gifts for the patient listener. PERHAPS have established themselves as a band with seemingly limitless potential."
-Conor Fynes

" `Volume One' by PERHAPS has rapidly been picking up a lot of attention in a short time from Prog appreciators, and without a doubt it's one of the most exhausting, maddening and totally schizophrenic releases in some time! One minute it's a psych heavy fusion jam, then experimental hard krautrock, tuneless aggressive noisy dark jazz and menacing cinematic post-rock. Full of lovely fluid grumbling bass, psychotic but tight drumming and manic finger-plucking electric guitar runs, it makes for an astounding and exhilarating piece of instrumental music that reminds us just how good and truly progressive, original and still surprising this genre can be when done well."
-Kev Rowland

"A phenomenal 38-continuous minutes of arguably the most exciting and visceral instrumental mayhem heard in recent years."
-Matt Zetts
