Is it a box set or were they released separately?
You know Pierre I was always curious about what their lyrics are about (especially on 'Si J'étais Le Messie'). I tried to find some translations on the net but couldn't find anything. Do you know where I can find it?

I could not help the OP but as I speak in french, I could help Sagichim... I'm not that good in english tho
So here is my traduction (with the help of ggtranslatorzor) :
If
I was the messiah, I would tell
Anything, Anywhere, Anyhow
and
people will trust me
They
have nothing else to do ...
If
I was the Messiah, I should take people on a ride (se faire mener en
bateau (boat) = something like being blinded and don't recognise you
are trolled)
Anyone, Anyhow
and
people will trust me
They
do not know my water (VS se faire mener en bateau = a boat, could be replace by my garden)
If
I was the messiah, I would be a pederast
With
anyone, Anyhow
And
people will follow me
Sniffing
my ass
If
I was the messiah, I'd be a thief
With
anyone, Anyhow
And
people will stay silent
Having
nothing else to do
If
I was the messiah, I would build a temple
With
anything, Anyhow
And
people would comes
To
be show-off (montrer leurs airs = like being pretentious, high
society)
If
I was the messiah, I'll have a glass eye
To
close the other, Seeing
nothing at all
And
people will complain me
And
brag about my misery
If
I was the messiah, I'd be a drunk man
I
would drink anything
Anyhow, Anywhere
And
people will imitate me
Always
believing in what I do
If I was the messiah, I will walk on
water
Anywhere, no matter how
And people will drown
Always believing in what I do
If I was the messiah, I'd do miracles
Anywhere
But not anyhow!
And people will be astonished
Screaming(Shouting) : "In the name
of the Father!"

The first listen was curious. I did not recognize the disk. All the instruments were too strong. But the second listen, it was fabulous, like listening to this album for the first time.So many details! Next month, if I can, I giveth Harlequin and Emile Jacotey cemetery. Cartoons has already been rematerie by Musea and less expensive.
GREAT TRADUCTION. THANKS !
Sag, yesterday I bought AU DELA DU DELIRE. The first listen was curious. I did not recognize the disk. All the instruments were so loud. But at the second listen, it was fabulous, like listening to this old album for the very first time. So many details ! Next month, if I can, I'll buy LE CIMETIERE DES ARLEQUINS and EMILE JACOTEY. CARICATURES has already been remastered by Musea and costs less money.

Tome VI ... is a magnificent live album ... and has a killer version of a couple of pieces, and a new cut that I do not remember it from any other album.

First of all a big thanks to Olivieri, I really appreciate it, for taking the time to translate it for me .
Pierre, I gather that you were familiar with Au Dela Du Delire once, I'm glad you rediscovered it again, it definitely worth it. Such a classic album with a beautiful disturbing atmosphere, I gave it 5 stars in my review. Le Cimetière des Arlequins is clearly the one to get after this one, another great album. I tried Guet-Apens and Emile Jacotey but it never clicked with with me, I'll have to revisit them.

i don't like Guet Apens, but Emile Jacotey is in my top 3. And, but you don't care, it contains some of the better Décamps lyrics. By the way, using your imagination, Décamps can be translate in GO AWAY !

Next time you listen to Emile Jacotey ... remember that it was done almost 20 years before Roger Waters!
The song you asked a translation for, really goes together well with another piece in the Emile Jacotey album called "Ego et Deus". And a truly beautiful piece called "La Marchand des Planetes".
All of the first 6 albums are magnificent. All of them have different things and show an incredible band, and the reason why I prefer this band a lot more than I do Genesis. I can only play 2 or 3 Genesis albums ... I can play 7 LP's by Ange!
