Love it, I've checked his project's album titled "Humans", that sounds more of JRF for me.

While that album is definitely JRF, all of the rest sound more like avant.

I've tried some tracks from different albums on bandcamp. To me sounds fusion, anyway he deserves a place on the site, very good stuff.

Tried other tracks, "Smarty P-Ants" from Insect Warriors reminds me to From.Uz who have been moved from JR/F to, I think, crossover.  The following track, "Crickets and Mots" is probably one of those with some avant feel, but it's mainly jazz (very good jazz, indeed).

So, regardless the subgenre, many thanks to Evolver for having introduced me to this artist. I think I'll buy the download of Insect Warriors.
