I was looking for help from the fantastic users here for song recommendations. I really like a certain sound/arrangement in a prog songs and looking for more with that sounds

Here are some examples to help describes the sounds and structure im looking for

Omega - Movin' World

Satin Whale It's Better Don't Stop the Show

I have noticed in threads there is alot of sub categories of prog and I was thing maybe these examples fall into one?.

If anyone one can suggest similar songs with that driving synth loop and hard guitar stabs over the top I would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I really don't know a band or a solo artist with similar production values. The closest thing that Omega reminds me of is Le Orme's Felona E Sorona. As per Barry Palmer, I'm pretty sure you are gonna find a lot of acts in the 80's that sound like him. Rush could be potential candidates (think Moving Pictures).

Again, those are the closest things I can think of at the moment, ... doesn't necessarily mean they are close.

Some late 70's/early 80's Eloy maybe? If it isn't too spacy .

I'm not sure though, have only heard some of Eloy.

for example
