Last time I saw Alvin Lee was at the Reading Festival 1983; the same year I first saw Stevie Ray Vaughan (also taken too soon)

I Was at Reading in 83 to ,  that was the year i saw Alvin play in a small pub near Oxford , Alvin lived in Sonning Common near Reading   he would often be seen in the local Country Pub having a pint With Dave Gilmour , they were
neighbors  at the time. I remember  Randy California of Spirit was staying at Alvins place  he turned up at the pub one night to playing darts with Alvin and Ian Gilan

RIP for "another great Italian".
My Last.fm
Jazz-rock conspiracy? Zappa and Miles played at the same festivals in the
summer of '69 right BEFORE Hot Rats AND Bitches Brew were recorded.
