It's good solid symph, a lot like Marillion but closer to home.    But yeah it is not surprising music so when it shines it's very good.

I've heard a lot of folks talking about it as the first real neo prog album, if such a thing exists. But you're right about the Marillion comparison though - I too sense a very similar sound in both, especially in the vocal department.
