Can't see it, Steve. I've actually had some trouble seeing some of the albums you've posted of late. The one before my Tale Spinnin' yesterday too. Perhaps it's just me?

It's a mystery.  Can't remember which album/website I liked to last time, but this time it was CDuniverse.com.  Not sure if that's it, or if it's my browser (Firefox) vs your browser, I don't know how these things work.
But since yr curious, the album is "My Bloody Underground" by The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

It was CDuniverse then too, I think. I know rateyourmusic doesn't work, perhaps CDuniverse doesn't either?

Haven't heard of that band. What are they like?

Me? I'm on to this now:

Great album. I would have loved some more bassoon though.

They have several rather different "sounds", which makes them a bit hard to pin down.  This particular album has a lot of shoegaze drone and experimental noise and hypnotic instrumentals (though as David says, not nearly enough bassoon).   An earlier album sounds almost exactly like a mid-sixties Rolling Stones album.  Another one sounds like a roots-retro 90s alternative rock album.  I'm just getting into them and this album in particular fascinates me because the musical choices made are so odd, especially in light of that Stones sound they used to have.

I really like it when a band changes styles from one album to the next, but I'm neither a drone nor a Stones fan, so I probably won't check them out, not in the near future anyway. Too many other bands I want (need) to investigate and explore atm, but thanks anyway, Steve.

First listen.
