On Monday 8th April from 8pm BST (7pm GMT) Malcolm Weinberg is the Man on the Street Who Loves Prog studio guest. Malcolm has chosen an excellent line up of bands that have infused him with a love of progressive rock music over the years. He will regale us with tales of why he likes these bands and I`m sure there`ll be a couple of anecdotes along the way. The music will cover 4 decades, the globe and will include some debut bands for B2W. Lots for us to look forward to so please do your best to support Malcolm on the MOTSWLP show.

The B2W progressive music show for Monday 22nd April.

Its that time of the week again when I indicate to all as to which bands are on my Between Two Worlds progressive music show on Monday 22nd April. As usual we have a fine mix of prog from acround the world, across the decades but not quite beyond and a cou[ple of debutants for B2W. There is a theme this week whereby all songs played will be linked, somewhat tenuously in places, to the previous song. So, the Journey Begins (long version)!! at 8pm UK time with The Minstrels Ghost and will continue (but not in this order) with Fatal Fusion, Eloy, Ayres Rock, Indukti, Camel, Moonwagon, Kevin Ayres, Bunchakeze, Colosseum, Arena, Man, Taylors Universe, Gong, Cathedral, Spring, Kevlar Red, Edenbridge, Wang Wen, Echo, Greenslade & Abbfinoosty. There is quite possibly a themed chance for some IQ, Corvus Stone and 8 Days in April at the end as the traditional B2W bonus songs. I'm sure you can spot some obvious links from this list and you would be right but to find out the rest then you'll need to log on and listen in.

Just starting now - from the DJ Kev Slaymaker:

Having had a week away from B2W I'm back with a Welsh special. Loosely based on my holiday to the land of the red dragon I'll be linking some Welsh folklore trivia concerning the Welsh dragon, the lady of the lake as well as Gelert the dog to progressive rock music as per B2W tradition. The landscape including Snowdonia, castles, bara brith, bridges, roads, coal, copper, slate and gold mining also get a mention along with the red kite, chough, farming and sheep! Lots to look forward to then and it all starts at 8pm UK time on Monday 3rd June at www.crmk.co.uk

Tonight's Between Two Worlds is an introduction to progressive music show where we can hear a lot of bands, a few explanations and definitions of prog if that is possible and all with a little help from the show's regular listeners who have made up the playlist between them!! So stand by for an eclectic show featuring many classic prog bands, some relatively unknown bands, a couple of debut bands and a curve ball band. The chat room will be occupied if you fancy a chat and Kev`ll be trying to sort things out from the sauna that will be the studio. Hope to see you later.

This weeks show on Monday August 5th will be an all German affair as we explore some of its wonderful progressive music. There`ll be mostly obscurish bands with a few more well known thrown in for good measure and it will all be linked with the usual trivia.

Between Two Worlds 149 will be looking at Light and Dark things in this weeks themed show. We start off with our vdgg theme 1 theme tune at 8pm followed by the dark and light of a Thunder and Lightning storm. We'll then head off Into the Dark where we'll encounter Dark Souls, The Dark Age and Dark Matter before coming Out of the Darkness. At the Speed of Light we'll be saying Let There Be More Light through Artificial Light like those City Lights. However, we soon find that The Lights Have Changed to the Light of a Thousand Stars where Shimmering Lights such as the Northern Lights will have us Tripping the Light Fantastic before we go back Into the Dark to encounter the Darkside of The Darkest Hour. Darkwater then take us to pay Homage to the God of Light.
