Oh well, however. I still think it's a loss to the results of the series of polls. But they are your polls.

No one's mentioned "A Change of Seasons"? Oh well, it was released on an EP instead of an album, so I wonder if that would not let it be included, but since it was not released on an official album, and it's many people's DT favourite song, I think it should be included. So... Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons - A Change of Seasons. King Crimson - Thrak - Vroom Vroom. Rick Wakeman - 7 Wonders of the World - The Pyramids of Egipt.
I was going to suggest it too, but thanks for getting it up there.King Crimson - THRAK - PeoplePorcupine Tree - The Sky Moves Sideways - The Sky Moves Sideways - Phase II

Have to be on a PA studio album - no EP tracks

Oh, come on, surely you can make an exception for such a beloved song which can't be found on a studio album. Besides, because of the length, that CD could just as well be an album. You bet that would easily be the favourite song for the majority of PA DT fans from the Sherinian years of Dream Theater, if not from all their discography.
Not according to this poll Winkhttp://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=90645&KW=dream+theater&PID=4662475#4662475It's too bad the rules won't allow it, but that's how it is.Edit: I forgot to link it...

Actually, my favourite DT song is Octavarium, and Change of Seasons isn't so close to my very favourite DT songs, but I still like it, and many people like it more than me. There must be a poll with only Change of Seasons and Octavarium where the voting was very close. Perhaps Change of Seasons even beat Octavarium. Or was it on the survivor polls that Octavarium got kicked out before Change of Seasons?

I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.
