Same here. Optimistic and How to Disappear Completely are the most pre-Kid A tracks on this album. Guitar songs - electric and acoustic, respectively. As many critics had noted at the time, if the album had led off with those 2 tracks, it wouldn't have seemed such a radical departure from The Bends and OK Computer. Good songs though.

I think people who love the track Kid A prob. voted for the first track, like I did. It's such a perfect one-two punch.

Yeah, I love Aphex Twin influence on this album; it shows on those first two tracks too. The title track has that really nice sort of Kraut/IDM beat that really draws me in. 

You should do an Amnesiac poll next. I think of these two CDs as being a double album. They have a nice symmetry to them: the IDM tracks that begin both albums, the horns songs that frame it (National Anthem in the front, Greenhouse in the back), the two Morning Bells, two ambient pieces (Treefingers and Hunting Bears - both evoking pastoral settings in their titles), two great not-quite EDM-ish tracks (Idioteque and Spinning Plates), two rockers (Optimistic and Knives Out), and two lovely/frightening songs (How to Disappear and Pyramid Song).
