Pierre, I heard that Tortilla Flat one a few years back and remember it being quite good! Might have to look into it, I'm pretty sure Greg Walker/Syn-phonic got either a CD or vinyl reissue of it in stock a while back? :)

To answer my own question - it appears to be a Farfisa Compact Duo, but he heavily manipulates its sounds so it's totally unique. Trivial for sure, but I like to know these things (must be OCD........)

I didn't read all the posts, but why is Henry Cow discussed in a Canterbury thread (Henry Cow are RIO).

Anyone here heard about the belgian band Pazop ?
Vocals can be annoying but the music is astonishing.

I'm a big Ayers fan. Sweet Deceiver's actually my favorite, followed by Doctor Dream.

This is the compilation that did it for me. Such a wonderful intro. It was the second Ayers I ever bought (Bananamour was the first, which was good but not great). It's better than any of his individual albums, and is one of my desert island discs! It benefits especially from having some key singles which didn't appear on albums.
