Hey, from Canada. A long time lurker on the site (since 2009 or so) but have only recently made an account (over last summer). I rated a bunch of albums in order to motivate myself to review them (something I've always wanted to do) and it's been a slow process but I'm cracking though it.

My dad's had me listening to prog since I was young, Jethro Tull was my favorite band until I was 14.

My own personal prog journey started when I heard Dream Theater's 'A Change of Seasons'... since then it's been an endless task to acquire and enjoy more and more prog. I mostly listened to Progressive Metal then, but my tastes have mellowed in recent years.

I hope that I can come to help the site, when I originally came here I gave a list of about 30 or so artists that I could see fitting into the archives... (from the looks of it, only about 2 were approved so all I really helped with was giving the collaborators a headache). I also just started through bands and checking to see if there are any missed albums and then adding them, since it's near impossible to keep track of the career's of so many musicians.

Ask me anything, if you need or want anything, please ask or if you just want to talk I'm happy to do that to :)

Keep on proggin' everyone!

Nice to see you. It's nice to see a nice man on our nice board.

OK, enough niceties. Your tastes have mellowed. Where did it all get you now? Prog Folk? Big smile Wink

Well, I'm pretty sure that lucas and Windhawk are gonna come around and recommend you something, he-he-he.

Have you checked out anything by Weather Report or The Mahavishnu? I presume you've covered Roxy Music and Radiohead, right?

I've heard bits of Weather report though no full albums. The rest I have given a listen to.

Here's one of the driving forces of Weather Report, Joe Zawinul, kicking ass with one Trilok Gurtu:

Hope you enjoy. If not, then either way I think you'll get a kick out of learning more about music and about more music (sorry for the verbal mess) from out website. Welcome!
