Hey everyone, I've been a long time user of PA and occasional glancer of these forums and finally decided to man up and join the team.

I'm a huge DT fan, but I'm also a fan of Shadow Gallery, Neal Morse (and all his other projects), Symphony X, Devin Townsend, and of course all the classic prog rock (Gentle Giant, ELP...). I've recently started getting on the Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson train and loving it. I'm also a fairly new jazz listener.

I play keyboard and am a synthophile. Though I'm more of a music writer than player (old school sheet music style). Maybe I'll post some stuff when I feel like it.

Anyway, I think I've introduced myself well enough, any other questions just ask. Any recommendations please deliver.

It's been a while since I recommended Phideaux to any newbies, and with this opening post I believe it's time again. Hit this link to listen to Snowtorch on Bandcamp.

Right now I'm listening to Polish band's Believe's latest, which might be worth an inspection. At least if you're fond of strong lead vocals. Taster here:

Hey, welcome!  As you can see below, I think we share many of the same musical interests...you should check out any of the other bands you don't know from my signature picture!

Isn't that why we listen to prog in the first place? Cool

Thanks for the suggestions again, recently I've been digging some tunes by bands from RareNoiseRecords (I don't know why they do it all in one word) some pretty cool prog though.
