Topic: Aqualung vs. TAAB Posted: April 09 2013 at 15:12 |
Is there anyone else who prefers Aqualung?
I mean, both are very awesome, but I like Aqualung a tiny bit more.

Taab definately but the new 2cd aqualung remix is just as good as taab with all those great bonus tracks

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Tough choice....I went with Aqualung for the variety of material which I always liked about Tull.
TAAB had some parts that were a little tedious for me.

Thick as a Brick. I only own three Tull albums, but these are two of them, and both are excellent for different reasons.

TAAB is within my top five favorite Tull albums, whereas Aqualung is in my top ten. Don't ever deny one for the other though - they are both GREAT albums.
Metalmarsh - what is your third Tull?

I admire them both, lyrically and instrumentally, but slightly prefer Aqualung. Always have and always will.

We actually agree on something.
TAAB is a very good album but Aqualung has many of the best songs JT ever recorded.

Thick as a Brick. I always find that live versions of Aqualung far surpass the album, whereas TAAB is great either way. (Though if I had a choice I'd rather hear it live, for sure)

I actually prefer Aqualung. Love the folky vignettes and the heavier songs.

Aqualung without a doubt for me. I've never considered Thick as a Brick anywhere near as good musically or emotionally.

It used to be TAAB. One of the things that changed my mind was "Wond'ring Aloud", so ... .
