Oh Ray! For me it's the worst news from music world since Les Paul's death.

Saw MANZAREK - KRIEGER OF THE DOORS live twice, the last time a year ago.  Ray radiated energy, I thought he will live at least to 90. I hoped to see them once again. Not in this world unfortunately.

RIP, Ray and say hello to Jim.
Thanks to the best music ever made.
Who are you and who am I to say we know the reason why... (D. Gilmour)

Two days, two musicians of two favourite bands left us.

One of the best Trevor's songs:

RIP Trevor. We still remember.

A great name of classical music left us, Henri DUTILLEUX (1916-2013).
Clearly one of the best composers of the XXth century.
Some pieces for piano interpreted by Anne Quéffelec :

R.I.P. Ed Shaughnessy, long time drummer for the Tonight Show Orchestra during the time Johnny Carson was host.

During his almost 30 years as the drummer he often accompanied guest musicians that would appear on the show.  Two were Jimi Hendrix and John McLauglin.  See below (sorry Jimi video is audio only):

French writer Jack-Alain Léger, also known in the musical world as Melmoth and Dashielle Hedayat, has committed suicide at the age of 66 (article and biography in French) :

He also wrote the novel Monsignor, which was adapted into a movie with Christopher Reeves in 1982.
