I could never listen to "Legend Of Mind" without thinking of Ray Thomas. He seemed so taken with the song back in '68. Keep tripping Ray and RIP.

RIP Ray
He wasn't my fave Moodys singer and writer but he did have some lovely contributions.  Apart from the aforementioned "Legend of a Mind", I enjoyed "Eternity Road", "Our Guessing game", "For my Lady", and "When the Tide Rushes in".  He also collaborated with Hayward on a few songs like the beautiful "Watching and Waiting"

RIP Ray.. My wife and I were sadly musing about the 60's clip from one or another of the TV pop shows where the Moodies were performing 'Ride my see saw' and Ray had this great little shimmy-shuffle dance in his 'pantalon noir', ruffled shirt and shiny slip on shoes.. just great! The different characters in the Moodies were what made up the 'whole' and created a truly timeless body of work and Ray's lyrics of innocence and childlike wonder are something this overly cynical world desperately needs more of.. A very sad way to begin 2018

'Fast' Eddie Clarke, last surviving member of the classic line up of Motorhead died yesterday after a bout of Pneumonia aged 67.
I was lucky to see Motorhead on the Overkill and Bomber tours and, yeah, they weren't prog but F**k were they a good band!! I was at the front right by the PA and couldn't hear anything for about 3 days after... no wonder I'm a bit deaf!!
RIP Eddie, Man there is gonna be one hell of a racket somewhere up there tonight now you, lemmy and Philthy are back together!

RIP Dolores O'Riordan of the Cranberries. She was only 46.

I only have one Cranberries cd at the moment but I really liked them. Great band. This is sad news.

Really heartbreaking.

She had been suffering from severe depressions since 2013.

Will miss her.

Great voice.

Nice to be able to agree with you wholeheartedly. I think she had a fantastic voice, and I derived a great deal of pleasure from the band's music.

This passing is a great shame, and it is a significant loss.

May she rest in peace.

R.I.P. Gavin Allardyce - best known as Gavin da Blitz from the sensational band Here & Now. So many losses lately, the scythe wielding figure is working overtime......
R.I.P. Gavin, Fast Eddie, Ray Thomas too.
Sad days.

I'm deeply saddened to hear this; Embryo are one of my favorite bands Cry. I guess he died of a second stroke; he already had one in 2016. R.I.P and thanks for all the great music. your daughter Marja will continue the journey for you
