Invisible Touch. It is actually better than perfect when the unedited (i.e. extended mix) versions of the first three tracks, singles and the B sides to complete the rest at the end. Comes to a double album (in LP terms) and has a new frame. The original like so many recordings limited by the vinyl format now sounds like an abridged version.

As for Calling All Stations that sounds finer than the original album (on cassette... 8(   ) (It took me a while to accept the change of drummer).

Oh yes, what is wrong with Illegal Alien?

Gabriel's material was better than Genesis' throughout this period, PG4 is my favourite of his.

I've always been a fan of Security (my first Gabriel or Genesis album actually), so I'll go with that. The first tune still gives me goosebumps.

Agreed, it's damn near perfect if you can get past Illegal Alien. LOL It gets my vote

Genesis needs to make a come-back here. If they could also do that literally with some new music and a tour, with Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel, that would be cool too.

Peter Gabriel produced better albums in the 80s and 90s than Genesis. They certainly had greater depth and were more meaningful. The three in a row in the 80s Melt, Security and So are incredible. I've always considered Melt and So as two of the best albums of the 80s.

Duke and Genesis S/T are by far my two favs of the bunch. Never could get into gabriel's solo stuff for some reason. I picked Duke.

I suppose PG on the strength of Melt and Passion, whereas only Duke is notable from Genesis' discog after that.

So for me.

I vastly prefer Gabriel's work to that of Genesis in the 80s.
