You may also explain which one you prefer.

I used to have the vinyl with studio 4th side but I guess I lent it to some friend and never got it back because I don't have it anymore Angry
My CD is the '4 Sides Live' version.

I am the proud owner of both versions.  I always loved studio side 4 but as I now have all those songs from the other box sets, I would have to say I now like the live side 4 version the best.  But side 3 has always been my favorite of the whole album for the magnificent In the Cage/Cinema Show/Slippermen/Afterglow medley.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

The one with studio songs on the 4th side.
A lot of times I enjoyed listening to the studio side.
There's some great live material on the other version, though.
They should have made it: Four Sides Live, One Side Studio Smile

I used to have a cassette with all four sides, except the second side (sides 3 and 4) of the tape wouldn't play for some reason

I've got both, but don't listen to either of them much....they're a little unappreciated in my collection.

As for those studio tracks, have they ever been re-released on a CD? I've got those two Genesis box sets, but I don't recall if they ended up on there?

They really should compile all of those sort of pieces, plus things like the `3x3/Pigeons' EP onto a single CD, nice to have them all together!

Yes, those extra studio tracks did end up on Genesis Archive 2.

I also have both versions of Three Sides Live -- the American one with the fourth studio side I have on vinyl, and the 4 sides live version I have on CD - I think it's an earlier pressing of it too, as it's in one of those double wide jewel boxes and it's a UK pressing I think.  I found it used a few years ago.
