Here are my top 25 prog metal albums from all 3 sub genres and I consider all of them to be worth 5 stars, it'll be interesting to see which ones get the votes.

I went with The Perfect Element.

I went BTBAM, though The Great Misdirect is my personal favorite from them. Followed closely by ADHD, LYBM, and SUSAR

With no Second Life Syndrome to vote for, I won't bother, since it's head and shoulders above any other prog metal album.

I had to miss that one off in the end, BTBAM and Fen are the only 2 bands that have two albums I'd give 5 stars to (that are both metal, anyway). Had to miss The Great Misdirect and Dustwalker off or I would have missed a couple of bands.

Wrong. But it it still a pretty awesome record. I think ADHD is much stronger.

I love several albums on this list, but `My Dying Bride' is probably my favourite metal band, so their wonderful album `For Lies I Sire' gets my vote here. I hope someone else votes for them at some point too!

But all of the following from this list I'm proud to have in my collecion:

Anathema - The Silent Enigma
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Riverside - Anno Domini High Definition

Vanden Plas- The God Thing without hesitation, one hell of a great album, one of the best from the '90 in prog metal
