That is really weird, as they self-released this album in 2012 and then it disappeared from their page.

Then, this news; maybe a released via a record company? who knows... anyway the album was really good

Picked up today via Martin Kielty at UK's 'Prog' magazine: http://www.progrockmag.com/news/sleepers-awake-confirm-second-album/

Prog metal outfit Sleepers Awake will release their second album, Transcension, on June 17. Hear lead track The Fulcrum via their Bandcamp page.

The work is described as “combining elements of classic rock, sludge metal and even left-field art rock and ambience.” The result, they say, is “a devastating but irresistible hybrid that fans of thought-provoking and soulful heavy music will find impossible to ignore.”

Transcension tells the story of The Augur hand his struggle with higher forces that leads him on a journey through worlds of fantastic creatures and surreal backgrounds.

Drummer Christopher Burnsides explains: “All these elements weave around a central desire to write epic tunes. We seek to express a desperation that we all share. It’s hard to articulate – but ideally our music is going to hit you in the gut and latch on to you, inviting you in for more careful scrutiny.

“We hope we leave people feeling the sort of longing that we try to ameliorate by writing music. We want to dump our issues onto the world. And while writing is catharsis, performance is celebration – we very much enjoy visiting new places and people and drinking lots of sh*tty beer!”

Transcension Tracklist:

1: The Augur
2: Burdened
3: Apparitions
4: Slave Within
5: Heathen Verses
6: Saint Condemned
7: Circles Without Division
8: Throat of Winter
9: Wintertide
10: Equa Mortuorum
11: Under Hoof and Gavel
12: The Fulcrum

Thumbs Up
