Hey folks!

So here's the new album! After a couple of years work, I've managed to finish it. For those who already listened to "Raw", this one follows that direction and it's definitely crossover between prog-industrial-rock-metal....and all that jazz :D

I'm curious to know what you think about it. Please let me know!

You can listen the album on my site
of here
or here

(I'm working out a "new myspace" issue because my songs won't play there and soon I'll also have them on Jamendo.com)

just for reference, here's the cover art. Soon I'll try to make sone CD's avaliable, although the costs are high for me :/

Ok, thank you in advance for your time and I hope you enjoy the album!

rock on!

Walter

I wouldn't mind giving it a go.  Is there an easier way to listen to it, like a download or something?

I've listened to the first two tracks. Really well done and pretty powerful mixes. It's obvious you spent a while on this.
Not quite my style though. But hey, that's just me

I think yours is a pretty fair assessment, actually!
Most people tell me the same thing: Powerful and well composed, with lots of ides, but ... just not quite there.
You said it's not really your kind of music. I interpret it like saying "it doesn't reach me" and therefore "it's not quite there". Feel free to contradict me: I can't read minds ;)

After 9 years of making music and 6 albums I think I've come to an understanding of where my approach doesn't work for the public.
My whole premise is just not oriented to people. I am categorized ad crossover by prog archives because ... well I simply do whatever pleases me. So in one album you might have very different songs. For example, you've listened to the first two, which might in fact give you an idea of what's the gist of the album. But if you move on to songs like "I won't" or "Free, man" you get a different feel.

Thank you very much for your comment! :)

I'm listening to the album now and I find it very good. Is this the same Oniric band of Cabaret Syndrome?

OK. Now it's clear. This is "Oniric Project"

And there's a couple of albums which are still to be added to the site

Hi octopus-4

I'm Oniric Project. Sorry about the confusion. The thing is I started songwriting in 2004 and the other Oniric group started in 2005, By the dime I already released the album Digressions and already bought www.oniric.it.
I don't have a label, and I'm not famous: they are. That's why I decided to generally go by Oniric Project ;)

Polished Was released early this year and Gaia just some days ago! It's understandable the albums are not yet on the artist's page.
Glad you enjoyed Polished! Definitely not my most progressive work. Gaia might be closer...but I've never been prog all the way :D

Take care!

Walter

Which part of Italy are you from?
