I suspect that his rock took the lead on that train of thought.  The rock has always been kind of a bully when it comes to the scissor(s).

I like cockroach-foot-nuclear bomb.   I've never understood how paper "smothers" a rock; firstly, paper is porous.   Second, though some believe rocks do breathe, it's not like they have respiration or would die wrapped in paper.

Paper is impossible to fathom.

Sand paper, glass paper and emery paper will happily wear away rock.

Paper is underrated. The pen is mightier than the sword, but bloody useless without paper (as is a khazi).
What?

There's also the yuki factor with regards to some paper.
I'll bet you'll win any rock-paper-scissors match, if you show up with freshly used brown toilet paper...

Sorry, not good enough-- both scissors and rocks immediately destroy their counterparts.   Plus, anything can wear away at a rock; water, heat, whatever, so paper is far from a rock's only longterm nemesis.

It's magic paper.

But if you want to avoid paper then that's fine by me - I'll pick rock every time and every match will be a draw.
