Haha, and The Beatles are THE MOST OVERRATED.... EVER

As band they probably are, but I personally consider  Revolver and Abbey Road two masterpieces.Ok Computer is for me nothing more than a good album. If you speak of "Love me do" you may be right, but I wonder what Radiohead could have done if they were around in 1962

The Beatles are not really overrated by musicians and critics imo but often are by casual music listeners.
And as was mentioned this was from 1964-1970.....styles and recording was far different then. Would Radiohead even exist if not for the originals like The Beatles....a topic for another thread.

1-0-1- me also not happy with the warm gun - not fun - though - with the Revolver - not the Resolver...But the Revolution the - Resolution...?
(Obviously inspired now - by - the red wine - not the LSD as Mr. Lennon at the time.)

I find both albums innovative - both bands great - The Beatles the greatest - both albums contain excellent songs - but: Revolver the least coherent of all Beatles' albums - Ok Computer more coherent than Revolver - Ok Computer is a grower - I prefer the Computer over the Revolver.

I wish Radiohead had more substance to their songwriting.

I feel closer to Radiohead. OK Computer seemed prescient to me at the time, and really seemed to anticipate the sudden re-emergence of protest movements in the US and Canada, which was exciting (e.g. the 1999 Seattle protest of the World Bank). I had always read about the 60s and 70s protests, but when I was growing up I wondered what happened, why Americans settled for apathy; but suddenly young people were out in the streets again, and OK Computer seemed like the soundtrack for that time, even though it came out 2 years before that. The lyrics to "Electioneering," an otherwise seemingly weak track on the song, was actually key to the album, and the times:

I will stop at nothing.
Say the right things when electioneering
I trust I can rely on your vote.

When I go forwards, you go backwards
And somewhere we will meet.
When I go forwards, you go backwards
And somewhere we will meet.
Ha ha ha

Riot shields, voodoo economics,
It's just business, cattle prods and the I.M.F.
I trust I can rely on your vote.

Yeah both great albums. I don't really have a preference to be honest, but in what way are they similar? Apart from both being great of course.

OK Computer is great, but Revolver trounces it easily, as it would most other albums.

Revolver, easily.

I wouldn't have thought to compare them, but I see your point.  Both can be listened to as straight-forward rock albums, but each has lots of layers and subtleties that reveal something new with each listen.  Both are 9/10 in my book.
