My top three are Porcupine Tree, Anekdoten and Kingston Wall. I'll vote later though as I want to spin these before I vote.Big smile

Vemod was my number 2 and Ptree #3 but I have been in a spacey mood lately (see Mantric Muse review) , so I went with Jurassic Shift! I should check out Kingston Wall, though!
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Whoa, this is way too hard. Rush, Ozric, Savatage, and IQ's Ever...too hard to pick just one.

Probably my favourite of their Psychedelic period. Always Never, Burning Sky, Fadeaway are all so good.

I'm always impressed at how well the Ozrics do in polls when people complain about their music sounding the same. Just goes to show they have a ton of fans who love their style. And you should definitely check out Kingston Wall's masterpiece. I think even Finforest(Jim) gave that 5 stars as did I.Big smile

Jurassic Shift!!

Ying Yang
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

How good is The Darkest Hour ? Not bad me thinks.  "Ever" was Nicholls triumphant return with the band after some 8 years. Good to see Anekdoten mentioned a couple of times. I'm leaning that way but want to hear these first. Listening to Pendragon right now.

I was surprised myself at the lack of Avant music released that year. U Totem, Bondage Fruit and 5uu's all released albums the following year (1994).

I'd probably go with The Muffins - Chronometers, Jean Lapouge - Hauts Plateaux, and Fripp & Sylvian - Damage.

I have Chronometers as a 1992 release but I could be wrong. Great album regardless.

Wikipedia, RYM and the copyright line on the back of my copy of the CD all have it as 1993

They should change that here at PA then. The copyright line on my copy also says 1993.

My top three here are Counterparts, Ozrics and Kingston Wall. Naturally I would go for Ozric but this time I'll go with Kingston Wall, this album is simply too awesome to beat!
Since they have no votes I guess a lot of people just don't know them.
So if you don't mind John...
