I defined "Classic Era" as the era in which the albums are consistently rated at 4 stars, though there may be an album/albums that are lower within the selection.

Magnification is a relly good album, but I do love Tormato. I find myself returning again and again. Madrigal, Arriving UFO, Future Times etc. never understood why it is so despised.

I actually really like all of these, all fit different moods! Even `Open Your Eyes' has a handful of decent tracks, and Squire's bass is still nice and thick on it.

I love `Drama', but I think that will get the easy win here...

So I go with JesusisLord here, `Magnification' was such a grand, wonderful, epic statement from them. Kind of wished they'd finished up on that instead of `Fly From Here' which, lets admit it, was very pleasant, undemanding `Dad-rock' at best.

Drama for sure.

You can't really vote for Tormato, because, like it or not, it's part of the classic era.

I voted for The Ladder. But reflecting on my choice, I regret not voting for either Magnification, or one of the first two albums.

Voting for the same album. Absolutely great stuff, even if it wouldn't get the prog tag.

This is a tough one, for me anyway.
Different eras, different "feels", but I'll have to go with Drama followed by a VERY close Magnification.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

Drama Smile
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.
