KESWICK THEATER
Glenside, PA USA
May 5th, 2013

What a great show, with great musicians, who have a great outlook. Did I mention it was great? Perhaps I better consult a thesaurus.

If you enjoy any of these musicians then you know what to expect. I've seen TRANSATLANTIC live before, but never seen Neal (who I love - enjoy almost all his solo efforts and some of his work with Spocks Beard)doing his thing or The Flower Kings (who I've just recently got into).

The shame was that the Keswick was only half-full. 500+ people from what I heard. A real crime. However all the lads played like the audience was 5,000. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

Anyone out there think Ronie is a Swedish Jon Anderson?

Here is a great review - better written than I could do: http://www.examiner.com/review/neal-morse-the-flower-kings-testified-this-past-sunday-at-the-keswick-theater

Want to experience the concert?
Here's an attempt:

I've always thought of him more as a Swedish John Wetton, at least on the earlier Flower Kings albums.

Glad you had a good time, I wish I could have gone to one of these shows. It is a shame that they're not playing to bigger crowds, even with the combined forces of TFK/NMB/TA

I was referring to his mannerism and speech.
I don't think his singing is like Jon - other than the bright/happy lyrical content.

I am new to the world of TFK and only have PARADOX HOTEL so I can't comment on the Wetton comparison - although I always like John's work (esp with Asia and Crimson). I'll have to check that out.

Yes - to the bigger crowd thing. I'm just thankful they came around. When I saw TRANSATLANTIC on The Whirlwind tour it was standing room only! However there were dedicated fans at The Keswick show - there was a couple behind us who drove from Boston to see the show.
Cheers,
Scott

I wish they would have come to Seattle....although Neal was just here October 2012 on the Momentum tour, I am hoping for next year. The promoter of the NM shows here was trying to get this NM/TFK tour, I suspect the band did not want to return so early....but heck we get almost 1,000 fans in the EMP JBL Room. For the T2 Tour there were about 1,200 fans...with connections to Seattle with Ajalon, he gets a lot of love here!
