Quote Time for a little update on our future album!
Those of you who read our @themorningband twitter already know that Gavin Harrison (who previously appeared on Belighted) is playing with us on the upcoming release, too. More than that, loveliest Colin Edwin (of Porcupine Tree fame) has joined in the process and already finished all his bass parts. It's hard to put into words what an honour it is for us to work with these two amazing professionals and what a great contribution th...ey've already made to the album.
Other news:
Our same old and lovely team is somewhere in the middle of the process right now. Yours truly have been spending evenings and nights in Marcel's London studio for two weeks going through the vocal parts with the dream team of Marcel van Limbeek and Gianluca Capacchione, same wonderful people who worked on Belighted. Oh the life of luxury, totally re-recording a good take just because you find it slightly unconvincing. Gleb and Vlad are putting the arrangements together, Vlad is working on the final guitar parts and Gleb is paying visits to a kids choir we are recording this week (i tried to keep myself away from the typical death theme when writing lyrics for them...unsuccessfully).
Kscope have already set us a deadline and already have a release date for us in mind. The waiting won't be long.
All pieces of this puzzle are falling into place. We are so happy to witness this, cause the album is being born before our very eyes and this is amazing. I am somewhat sentimental about that.

"You will not believe this! As we stated in the previous backers-only update, we're doing it again! Meaning, running a fundraising campaign.

This time, we are planning to release a live album, recorded on "Belighted" release concert last year. It's called "From the House of Arts" and contains songs from our two albums, played by full band.

Here's the link:

Live from the House of Arts Kickstarter campaign!

Here's the artwork!

The reason behind running another campaign is prosaic: releasing Belighted left us in a debt hole, but we can't wait to record the album three (already started the recording but ran out of money real quick). So we're seeking help and releasing this album to be able to make more music for the ones who enjoy it.

If you were happy with the previous campaign (though it was very far from being flawless we know, but we learn and improve!) we are asking you to help us this time, too. Our biggest fear is that we won't reach the goal and all our work and time will be wasted. I've put a lot of efforts in putting the campaign together and now i am deadly nervous about how it will go :(

Anyway, this time it won't take that long to release the album and manufacture and ship the awards. The release is scheduled for the end of next month and we'll start shipping shortly after!

Thank you for staying with us and off we go to new adventures

Marjana"

So if the album is sent to a reviewer as a promo-copy by the label/musician and the reviewer states that in his review than it's ok? I'm just testing the water, i'd love to send the promo links to some PA writers if Kscope allows me to.
Thanks guys!

Exactly, this is precisely why I was careful to mention that I was one of the lucky birds who got the special edition of IQ's Road of Bones ahead of the main release date when I posted my review of that one.

^ Nope! That is to say, it shouldn't be added before the actual release date, but on this site every member can add albums, so it probably will be. The problem isn't if it's added before the official release date or not, it's when the album's rated or reviewed before the actual release date (without the reviewer stating in said review that he/she has got access to the album legally), then the site could be accused of condoning or supporting piracy.

And what if the album leaks out before the official release, like it happens usually? In this case you add it?

It's wise not to either way - stops eager beavers from giving the thing ratings before they could have possibly heard it.

It's not really that important for me. I just wonder? Thanks for the information anyway. Smile
