YOU

At one point it was one of my top 5 prog albums.

I'm kind of going to cheat here and vote for `Flying Teapot'. I always overlooked it because the other two were so good, and both were albums I got very early on in my prog collecting. I love them to bits, and when I finally got around to getting the first one, I was quite underwhelmed. But now as I've kind of overdosed on the later two over the years, `F.T' has been a nice surprise, I love it's kind of rough, murky and hypnotic hazy atmosphere. Now I listen to it more than the later two!

Have to say, the fifth album in the series `Zero To Infinity' is also superb!

It's had to be You, wonderful You.........I'll stop crooning now.
'You' is the strongest of the 3, but all are amazing.  Master Builder, A Sprinkling Of Clouds, Isle Of Everywhere - just mind-blowing........

I don't really like Gong of the early 70s apart from the occasional song. I really like You though. Their compositions became professional. I felt they were amatuer composers before that imo
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

I have a preference for Angel's Egg, but only because it's the first Gong's album that I have purchased.
Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half.
