Topic: Top Albums Of Each Sub-genre Posted: May 25 2013 at 11:40
This may have been done before but even if it was the choices would be different. These are the current highest rated albums in each sub-genre of PA. Due to popularity, two of the choices might not get any votes while 3 or 4 of them will be fighting for the top spot. However, the results might be surprising.

Opeth's Still Life by a margin I hope the PA community at large doesn't find too surprising. I honestly believe it deserves such accolades. Plus I find most of the "highest rated" picks to be wildly overrated.

I don't like the list. These are the top albums? Wow. I almost voted for ITCOCK but went for Thick as a Brick instead. I don't see how Thick as a Brick tops Aqualung, though.

Wyatt, Cardiacs, Tangerine Dream and Yes in the same poll? K.A is not my favorite Magma and I prefer Aqualung to Thick As A Brick. By coincidence Rubycon is the album I've listened to more recently (yesterday morning) so it gets my vote.
Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half. My poor home recorded stuff at https://yellingxoanon.bandcamp.com
