Glass Hammer has announced a re-release of a special 3 CD set of "The Inconsolable Secret," available on their website:

The band discusses this in this brand new interview:

This is a cool video about the project, they say:

The Inconsolable Secret - Glass Hammer's 2005 double album featuring artwork by Roger Dean. This is the short video that was included on Disc One - The Knights. It features short clips of actual takes that were used in the final mix.
The Inconsolable Secret is set for re-release in early summer of 2013 as a three disc deluxe edition. The two original discs are included as well as a new disc of remixes featuring Jon Davison, Kamran Alan Shikoh, David Wallimann and others. Mastering of the new Remix CD by Bob Katz of Digital Domain. Enjoy!

It's their best album in my humble opinion. A small but important point is that this was the first GH album that featured a full time drummer (Not Fred or Walter Moore basically) and that man was Matt Mendians. Great player who added so much quality and took the band to a new level .Sadly he only lasted two albums before leaving (not sure what the story was on that). I recommend this album to anyone who likes symphonic prog that is not too 'safe'. The second disc is the musical expression of a poem and is quite magical but also divides opinion.

nb anyone checking out the reviews section just read mine and ignore everyone else'sLOL

Thanks, Richard!  GH is one of the best out of the States, I'm more impressed every time I hear them!

Excellent interview!   I preordered early because I've been waiting for some time for this CD to become available again.

I am surprised that Three Cheers gets such a bad rap.  Its very different, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

totally agree about Three Cheers (again see my review and ignore the othersTongue)

I would have ordered the reissue of TIS but it costs 29 dollars plus 14 dollars air mail. That's just too rich for me. Hopefully it will be available for download at some point.

Hmmm...I do not have this one, and it is the only Glass Hammer that I have not heard.  Big smile  I think that I might wait to see if the price comes down a bit though as $29.99 is quite high.

Interesting. I already have it, so I probably won't buy it again, but glad to see it back in print.

I was able to get it much cheaper so relented and bought it (again). Very happy I did as the remix CD would now rank as GH's best release imo. The addition of Davison on a few tracks works superbly. I had the thing on headphones yesterday and it took me far away as all great prog CD's should. I also love the old style jewel case package which really is worth paying a bit extra for anyway. Great job chaps.Thumbs Up

Thanks for the info, Richard, I wasn't sure just how different this new version was compared to the original! I guess I'll try to snap up a copy as well!
