Why aren't Borknagar included in Prog Archives? Yes, I know they started out as a black metal band, but really, through the years, they've evolved into a progressive black/death metal band IMO.

The music is very technical and is often based on instrumental passages more than the growling black metal vocals, the musicians' skills are indisputable, and the bands combines a massive amount of various keyboard sounds to their soaring guitar walls, which creates quite an interesting sound to their music.

Also the way they've come from being a true black metal band to their current sound shows their progressive and experimental minds.

Add them now!!

(If you need a biography and album details, I can supply them.)

Edit: Hooray, the band has been added now. I've submitted info on all albums, but there are a few minor mistakes, which I hope M@x will correct , and I have PM'd him on this.

Ok, I accepted The Residents are OK, Queen maybe, but aren't we taking too far with suposedly  progressive black/death metal????????????????? that doesn't exists.

Prog Metal is already forced but there are some good bands that may fit, but Progressive death metal or Progressive black metal is too much.

If we are going to please everybody, soon we'll have all the metal bands here and later who knows?.

Iván

We already have Opeth, and they're surely prog, and they're surely death metal also.

And the same with Meshuggah.

Borknagar is prog.  For sure.  Prog-metal is a broader category than most think.
