^Phanerothyme is one of my favorites by them. But I also like their stoner side.

Proggy/noisey/jazzy.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Sounds like the 'Death Defying Unicorn' side LOL (which happens to be the only album I have of theirs), and whilst initially 'difficult'to grasp, multiple listens reveals its charms.

Motorpsycho is a very interesting but culpably neglected band with many different faces - some of their early work is really difficult to listen for me - e.g. Demon Box or Angels And Daemons At Play.

But what is surely excellent, is their recent albums: In the Fishtank (with Jagga Jazzist), Heavy Metal Fruit, and of course their Masterpiece - Death Defying Unicorn (with Stĺle Storlřkken). Thus - I picked here jazzy side.
