As mentioned in the OP, this band is related to Fly Pan Am.

Panopticon Eyelids are veterans of the Montréal Weirdo Underground and have 7 releases on various formats under their belts. Their formative years were informed by experimentation and heaviosity, the band being influenced by No Wave and proto-punk primitivism, free improvisation and the great psychedelic warriors of all eras.
After playing free form sludge rock for a while it was time to write songs and immortalize these riffs on wax.
The recent addition of Music Conservatory dropout whiz kid Asaël Robitaille on bass brings an interesting technical element to Panopticon's new sound that veers on Heavy Prog.
Musically, they mix and match old-school space rock and proto-punk/metal tropes with a good dose of comtemporary dissonance and deconstruction.
The result is the Overwhelming Visions LP, 5 long and loud Sci-Fi Prog Punk songs
about expanded states of mind in our futuristic society.

Too experimental for Psych/Space imo, so gonna pitch it to the Krautrock team. Might even fit in Post-Metal?

The most recent album reminds me something like Acid Mothers Temple.
