I saw this announced today and I squealed with joy like a Justin Bieber fan...on the inside. On the outside it was more like a "hell yeah!" and a fist pump in the air hehe.

NO disrespect at all to the band but it's amazing how much hype this band is getting. I'm wondering how much of that is because of who a certain band member's dad is. ;)

I'm actually really enjoying the album, and psyched to see this tour.  Then again, I appreciate a lot of the "crossover" bands, and there are definitely parts of this album that are more mainstream than prog.

But if the bit of "star power" that Collins brings along enables them to organize a tour like this, then I'm all for it.  I'll be at the show in Massachusetts, for sure.  Thumbs Up

Done.

Also would like to add when I got this album and listened to it I loved it the first listen through. I got the digital version from Amazon MP3 store and I had no idea Simon Collins was in the group.

They're coming to Florida! Nobody else from the Uk or Europe gets closer than DC/Nashville/Baltimore. I wanted to see Anathema when they came to the states, but they aren't playing anywhere I can get to and from in one day.
I really like Dimensionaut. Yes, a few of the tracks have a more "traditional" song structure and some pop appeal. So what? So do Kayleigh and Lavender and Misplaced Childhood is still a great prog album. Are we really going to criticize prog bands because they might appeal to too many people all while we lament how the prog music scene is slowly dying from dwindling support?

The Michigan show lists District 97 too.  Somehow, I missed this earlier but this sounds like it would be a really good show.  I wonder if they will still continue it without the headliner?

Just received a call from the Sellersville Theatre about the lack of VISAs and the cancellation of the Sept 12 show. Absolute, total bummer.

It's too bad about the cancellations. I saw Sound of Contact open for Marillion in Montreal back in March and they were quite good.
