Synth albums are a bit obvious for this thread but I think the following would fit the bill nicely

Tangerine Dream - Canyon Dreams
Neuronium - Synapsia
Vangelis - Soil Festivities
Edgar Froese - Epsilon In Malaysian Pale
Eddie Jobson - Theme Of Secrets
Chris Franke - Pacific Coast Highway

there are tons more though

BELIEVE--Yesterday is a friend.

Extremly mellow prog album that features a lot of acoustic guitar and the violin.
Soft, easy listening. Very melodic. Highly recommend this one. :)

Franco Falsini's soundtrack for the movie Nasso Freddo (Cold Nose) is very mellow and dreamy/the film didn't happen though as far as I can remember). It's largely an electronic release, but there's a lot of beautiful guitar trickery in there as well. Great chill out album:

“The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

I think ANATHEMA's WEATHER SYSTEMS is quite mellow with in the symphonic prog/rock genre. Very easy going and full of emotion as well. :)

Mellow mannn, you want melllooww?

I'd say you look in the Post Rock direction of things. Ambient as well. You're not gonig to find two many really chill albums in Prog Rock, at least from my experience. I could give you tons of rec from other genres that'd be more appropriate - ala Electronic, Freak Folk, Jazz.

Here's a couple (prog related):

Valtari - Sigur Ros
Within And Without - Washed Out (Chillwave. I think it's progressive, at least it's appeal to a fan of experimental music)
Pause - Four Tet (IDM, Post Rock)
An Awesome Wave - Alt J (Indie/ Art Rock with a lot of diverse influences)
Laughing Stock - Talk Talk
Mark Hollis solo
13.0000 - This Town Needs Guns
American Football
Pygmalion - Slowdive
Riceboy Sleeps - Jonsi And Alex
The Campfire Headphase - Boards Of Canada
Neu! '75 - Neu!
Mala - Devendra Banhart (Freak Folk/Indie. The guy's soo chill, ya got to listen to it regardless)

Tangerine Dream's "Rubycon" and Far East Family Band's "Parallel World" are great albums to help you transcend.

I don't consider myself a 'fan', but I do like Electric part 1, ....I'll give the ones you mentioned a listen

Underfall Yard is a masterpiece not to overlook so maybe that should be first. I'd be surprised if you dislike that.

This reminds me of something I need to mention. I am looking for albums that are mellow the entire way through(not just one or two songs).
Gotcha !!!
