Well i Know they're all excellent Bands , but , Pioneers by there own Ways , all of them ( approximately !)  where active during the seventies , and they're fairly Rated in Progarchives !   i mean their Albums .  Anyway , this Poll is not to show who's the best among them , it's only my Way to Figure out from you Proggers , are some of these bands mentioned above deserves more credit than they took in 4 decades !!   for instance , do you feel that , one way or another , some of these bands didn't get what they deserves !!  explaining my idea this way , just  to help you out   (  i always though in the Early 70's , that Eloy & Pink Floyd are the same band , but it wasn't , Eloy used to have there own Blend & their own beauty . )  and the Difference between them was only the Label Company , much more activities around the Globe , the Floyds are British , but Eloy were German , using another language !!   it Goes to Gong , Focus , Omega , Le Orme and a lot further more //  you're allowed to choose more than one band , but Please , be accurate in your answers , i need to hear the Truth from You //

Le Orme, but there's nothing underrated about these bands.

Very tough choice between Le Orme, Amon Duul II, and Gong, but went with Le Orme.

Gong and Fruupp.

Ying Yang
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

Eloy-i remember it was only by accident that i even heard of the band (finding a lone used lp copy of Inside in 1989)
Certainly deserve to be focused on more than they are.

My interest in Le Orme was kindled earlier this year by La Maschera di Cera´s album+ I knew only the name of the band because it was mentioned on PA now and then. Stackridge is another band that deserves more appreciation.

I can tell you whom I like the most, but to ponder who is most underrated makes my head spin. What does that even mean?

Can is my favorite band here.

^Ditto on that Steve.

Underrated? Hmmm... I voted for Amon Düül ll - mostly because they today are my fave band out of this lot, but also because I find them rather under-appreciated on PA. I gather their brand of pseudo rock perhaps is too much for the symphonic velvet connoisseurs, who probably are the majority of folks I suspect.
Conversely, CAN gets a lot more positive attention, but I gather it's down to the funky danceable grooves and enigmatic power of Damo.

I can never vote on these polls, I like a lot of these bands equally. And I don't think they are considered underrated either.

My vote has to go with Gong, followed by Eloy as a close second.
And to echo some of the other comments, I'm not sure these could be defined as "underrated".
Maybe less-remembered as we plow through the 21st century, but not underrated.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

I think Can and Gong get plenty of credit among prog fans, so I voted Agitation Free even though I prefer the former two

I voted Eloy and Le Orme.

Kind of an odd poll as several of these bands reached a worldwide fan base (Kansas, Styx, Supertramp, Focus, Kraftwerk, Gong, Soft Machine) and were readily available in mainstream record stores like Tower and The Wherehouse...as such I don't see how they could possibly be considered "underrated".

Ummm...I did read your post several times and stand by my opinion.  Kansas, Styx, Supertramp, Focus, Kraftwerk, Gong, & Soft Machine received worldwide acclaim, record distribution and credit and therefore can't be considered "underrated" Wink
